Title: Materials Data on Er3Lu by Materials Project

Abstract

LuEr3 is Magnesium-derived structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Lu is bonded to twelve equivalent Er atoms to form LuEr12 cuboctahedra that share corners with six equivalent LuEr12 cuboctahedra, corners with twelve equivalent ErEr8Lu4 cuboctahedra, edges with eighteen equivalent ErEr8Lu4 cuboctahedra, faces with eight equivalent LuEr12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent ErEr8Lu4 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (3.45 Å) and six longer (3.55 Å) Lu–Er bond lengths. Er is bonded to four equivalent Lu and eight equivalent Er atoms to form ErEr8Lu4 cuboctahedra that share corners with four equivalent LuEr12 cuboctahedra, corners with fourteen equivalent ErEr8Lu4 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent LuEr12 cuboctahedra, edges with twelve equivalent ErEr8Lu4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent LuEr12 cuboctahedra, and faces with sixteen equivalent ErEr8Lu4 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Er–Er bond distances ranging from 3.46–3.56 Å.
