Materials Data on GdYH4 by Materials Project
Abstract
GdYH4 is Fluorite-derived structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Gd is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent H atoms. All Gd–H bond lengths are 2.25 Å. Y is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent H atoms. All Y–H bond lengths are 2.24 Å. H is bonded to two equivalent Gd and two equivalent Y atoms to form a mixture of corner and edge-sharing HGd2Y2 tetrahedra.
