Materials Data on Dy2SnAu2 by Materials Project
Abstract
Dy2Au2Sn crystallizes in the tetragonal P4_2/mnm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Dy is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to six Au and two equivalent Sn atoms. There are a spread of Dy–Au bond distances ranging from 3.03–3.06 Å. Both Dy–Sn bond lengths are 3.12 Å. There are two inequivalent Au sites. In the first Au site, Au is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Dy atoms. In the second Au site, Au is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Dy atoms. Sn is bonded in a rectangular see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Dy atoms.
