Title: Materials Data on ScCdPt2 by Materials Project

Abstract

ScPt2Cd crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two ScPt2Cd ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Sc2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Sc–Pt bond lengths are 2.27 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Sc2+ and one Cd2+ atom. The Pt–Cd bond length is 2.69 Å. Cd2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms.
