Title: Materials Data on LaS by Materials Project

Abstract

LaS is alpha carbon monoxide-like structured and crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pmm2 space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of two LaS clusters. La2+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one S2- atom. The La–S bond length is 2.34 Å. S2- is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one La2+ atom.
