Title: Materials Data on CeAlIr by Materials Project

Abstract

CeIrAl crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce is bonded to six equivalent Ir and six equivalent Al atoms to form a mixture of face and edge-sharing CeAl6Ir6 cuboctahedra. All Ce–Ir bond lengths are 3.10 Å. All Ce–Al bond lengths are 3.10 Å. Ir is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Ce and three equivalent Al atoms. All Ir–Al bond lengths are 2.57 Å. Al is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to six equivalent Ce and three equivalent Ir atoms.
