Title: Materials Data on Eu3Tc by Materials Project

Abstract

Eu3Tc is alpha bismuth trifluoride structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Eu sites. In the first Eu site, Eu is bonded to four equivalent Eu and four equivalent Tc atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge, face, and corner-sharing EuEu4Tc4 tetrahedra. All Eu–Eu bond lengths are 3.33 Å. All Eu–Tc bond lengths are 3.33 Å. In the second Eu site, Eu is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Eu and six equivalent Tc atoms. All Eu–Tc bond lengths are 3.85 Å. Tc is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to fourteen Eu atoms.
