Materials Data on ZnRe by Materials Project
Abstract
ReZn crystallizes in the hexagonal P-6m2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Re is bonded to six equivalent Re and six equivalent Zn atoms to form ReZn6Re6 cuboctahedra that share corners with eighteen equivalent ReZn6Re6 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent ReZn6Re6 cuboctahedra, edges with twelve equivalent ZnZn6Re6 cuboctahedra, faces with eight equivalent ReZn6Re6 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent ZnZn6Re6 cuboctahedra. All Re–Re bond lengths are 2.75 Å. All Re–Zn bond lengths are 2.75 Å. Zn is bonded to six equivalent Re and six equivalent Zn atoms to form ZnZn6Re6 cuboctahedra that share corners with eighteen equivalent ZnZn6Re6 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent ZnZn6Re6 cuboctahedra, edges with twelve equivalent ReZn6Re6 cuboctahedra, faces with eight equivalent ZnZn6Re6 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent ReZn6Re6 cuboctahedra. All Zn–Zn bond lengths are 2.75 Å.
