Title: Materials Data on Pu2I2O by Materials Project

Abstract

Pu2OI2 is Cyanogen Chloride-like structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/mmm space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of one Pu2OI2 cluster. Pu is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to one O and one I atom. The Pu–O bond length is 2.02 Å. The Pu–I bond length is 2.85 Å. O is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pu atoms. I is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Pu atom.
