Title: Materials Data on YbCu4Ni by Materials Project

Abstract

YbNiCu4 crystallizes in the cubic F-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ni and twelve equivalent Cu atoms. All Yb–Ni bond lengths are 2.99 Å. All Yb–Cu bond lengths are 2.86 Å. Ni is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Yb and twelve equivalent Cu atoms. All Ni–Cu bond lengths are 2.86 Å. Cu is bonded to three equivalent Yb, three equivalent Ni, and six equivalent Cu atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge, face, and corner-sharing CuYb3Cu6Ni3 cuboctahedra. There are three shorter (2.42 Å) and three longer (2.45 Å) Cu–Cu bond lengths.
