Title: Materials Data on MgScPt2 by Materials Project

Abstract

MgScPt2 is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg2+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Pt2- atoms. All Mg–Pt bond lengths are 2.81 Å. Sc2+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Pt2- atoms. All Sc–Pt bond lengths are 2.81 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Mg2+ and four equivalent Sc2+ atoms.
