Title: Materials Data on U2BiTe2 by Materials Project

Abstract

U2BiTe2 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/mmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of one U2BiTe2 sheet oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. U is bonded to four equivalent U, one Bi, and one Te atom to form distorted UU4BiTe octahedra that share corners with five equivalent UU4BiTe octahedra, edges with four equivalent UU4BiTe octahedra, and edges with four equivalent BiU2Bi4 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All U–U bond lengths are 3.09 Å. The U–Bi bond length is 3.24 Å. The U–Te bond length is 3.08 Å. Bi is bonded to two equivalent U and four equivalent Bi atoms to form distorted BiU2Bi4 octahedra that share corners with four equivalent BiU2Bi4 octahedra, edges with four equivalent BiU2Bi4 octahedra, and edges with eight equivalent UU4BiTe octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Bi–Bi bond lengths are 3.09 Å. Te is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to one U atom.
