Materials Data on CdMoO2 by Materials Project
Abstract
MoCdO2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1/amd space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mo2+ is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent O2- atoms. All Mo–O bond lengths are 2.22 Å. Cd2+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form edge-sharing CdO6 octahedra. There are two shorter (2.33 Å) and four longer (2.46 Å) Cd–O bond lengths. O2- is bonded to two equivalent Mo2+ and three equivalent Cd2+ atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing OCd3Mo2 square pyramids.
