Title: Materials Data on LaAl2Pt3 by Materials Project

Abstract

LaPt3Al2 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to twelve equivalent Pt and six equivalent Al atoms. All La–Pt bond lengths are 3.46 Å. All La–Al bond lengths are 3.26 Å. Pt is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent La and four equivalent Al atoms. All Pt–Al bond lengths are 2.58 Å. Al is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to three equivalent La and six equivalent Pt atoms.
