Title: Materials Data on Bi3As by Materials Project

Abstract

Bi3As crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Bi3As ribbons oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Bi1+ is bonded in a distorted water-like geometry to two equivalent As3- atoms. Both Bi–As bond lengths are 3.32 Å. As3- is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Bi1+ atoms.
