Materials Data on TlBi3 by Materials Project
Abstract
TlBi3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tl is bonded to twelve equivalent Bi atoms to form TlBi12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent TlBi12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent BiTl4Bi8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent TlBi12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent BiTl4Bi8 cuboctahedra. All Tl–Bi bond lengths are 3.56 Å. Bi is bonded to four equivalent Tl and eight equivalent Bi atoms to form distorted BiTl4Bi8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent BiTl4Bi8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent TlBi12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent BiTl4Bi8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent TlBi12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent BiTl4Bi8 cuboctahedra. All Bi–Bi bond lengths are 3.56 Å.
