Title: Materials Data on MgTiPt2 by Materials Project

Abstract

MgTiPt2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two MgTiPt2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Mg–Pt bond lengths are 2.62 Å. Ti2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Ti–Pt bond lengths are 2.24 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Mg2+ and one Ti2+ atom.
