Title: Materials Data on Al3As by Materials Project

Abstract

Al3As is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Al is bonded to eight equivalent Al and four equivalent As atoms to form distorted AlAl8As4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent AlAl8As4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent AsAl12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent AlAl8As4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent AsAl12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent AlAl8As4 cuboctahedra. All Al–Al bond lengths are 2.92 Å. All Al–As bond lengths are 2.92 Å. As is bonded to twelve equivalent Al atoms to form AsAl12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent AsAl12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent AlAl8As4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent AsAl12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent AlAl8As4 cuboctahedra.
