Abstract

RbMg14BO15 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pmm2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Rb is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to five O atoms. There are a spread of Rb–O bond distances ranging from 2.33–2.80 Å. There are ten inequivalent Mg sites.
