Materials Data on EuU3 by Materials Project
Abstract
U3Eu is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. U is bonded to eight equivalent U and four equivalent Eu atoms to form UEu4U8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent UEu4U8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent EuU12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent UEu4U8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent EuU12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent UEu4U8 cuboctahedra. All U–U bond lengths are 3.18 Å. All U–Eu bond lengths are 3.18 Å. Eu is bonded to twelve equivalent U atoms to form EuU12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent EuU12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent UEu4U8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent EuU12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent UEu4U8 cuboctahedra.
