Title: Materials Data on Gd3I by Materials Project

Abstract

Gd3I is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Gd is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to four equivalent I atoms. All Gd–I bond lengths are 3.51 Å. I is bonded to twelve equivalent Gd atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing IGd12 cuboctahedra.
