Title: Materials Data on CsO2 by Materials Project

Abstract

CsO2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cs is bonded to twelve equivalent O atoms to form a mixture of edge and face-sharing CsO12 cuboctahedra. There are eight shorter (3.24 Å) and four longer (3.36 Å) Cs–O bond lengths. O is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Cs and one O atom. The O–O bond length is 1.36 Å.
