Title: Materials Data on YbZnGa3 by Materials Project

Abstract

YbZnGa3 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4mm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Zn and twelve Ga atoms. All Yb–Zn bond lengths are 3.22 Å. There are a spread of Yb–Ga bond distances ranging from 3.21–3.48 Å. Zn is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Yb and five Ga atoms. There are one shorter (2.42 Å) and four longer (2.59 Å) Zn–Ga bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Ga sites. In the first Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Yb, one Zn, and four equivalent Ga atoms. All Ga–Ga bond lengths are 2.63 Å. In the second Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Yb, two equivalent Zn, and six Ga atoms. All Ga–Ga bond lengths are 2.98 Å.
