Title: Materials Data on YbAg3 by Materials Project

Abstract

YbAg3 is Uranium Silicide-like structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded to twelve equivalent Ag atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing YbAg12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (3.11 Å) and six longer (3.12 Å) Yb–Ag bond lengths. Ag is bonded in a distorted see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Yb atoms.
