Title: Materials Data on LaCeOs4 by Materials Project

Abstract

CeLaOs4 is Cubic Laves-derived structured and crystallizes in the cubic F-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce3+ is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve equivalent Os+1.50- atoms. All Ce–Os bond lengths are 3.19 Å. La3+ is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve equivalent Os+1.50- atoms. All La–Os bond lengths are 3.19 Å. Os+1.50- is bonded to three equivalent Ce3+, three equivalent La3+, and six equivalent Os+1.50- atoms to form a mixture of edge, face, and corner-sharing OsLa3Ce3Os6 cuboctahedra. There are three shorter (2.71 Å) and three longer (2.72 Å) Os–Os bond lengths.
