Materials Data on KSNO by Materials Project
Abstract
KNSO crystallizes in the orthorhombic P2_12_12_1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. K1+ is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to three equivalent O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.78–3.09 Å. N3+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one S2- atom. The N–S bond length is 1.48 Å. S2- is bonded in a bent 120 degrees geometry to one N3+ and one O2- atom. The S–O bond length is 1.52 Å. O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to three equivalent K1+ and one S2- atom.
