Materials Data on KMnSe2 by Materials Project
Abstract
KMnSe2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I-4m2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. K1+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Se2- atoms. All K–Se bond lengths are 3.45 Å. Mn3+ is bonded to four equivalent Se2- atoms to form corner-sharing MnSe4 tetrahedra. All Mn–Se bond lengths are 2.44 Å. Se2- is bonded in a distorted water-like geometry to four equivalent K1+ and two equivalent Mn3+ atoms.
