Title: Materials Data on LiAlAu by Materials Project

Abstract

LiAuAl crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Li is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Au and five equivalent Al atoms. All Li–Au bond lengths are 2.88 Å. There are three shorter (2.52 Å) and two longer (2.77 Å) Li–Al bond lengths. Au is bonded to six equivalent Li, two equivalent Au, and six equivalent Al atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge, face, and corner-sharing AuLi6Al6Au2 cuboctahedra. Both Au–Au bond lengths are 2.77 Å. All Au–Al bond lengths are 2.88 Å. Al is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Li and six equivalent Au atoms.
