Title: Materials Data on NpCd by Materials Project

Abstract

NpCd is Copper-derived structured and crystallizes in the orthorhombic Amm2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Np is bonded to six equivalent Np and six equivalent Cd atoms to form NpNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra that share corners with eighteen equivalent NpNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent NpNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra, edges with twelve equivalent CdNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra, faces with eight equivalent NpNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent CdNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra. There are four shorter (2.85 Å) and two longer (2.86 Å) Np–Np bond lengths. All Np–Cd bond lengths are 3.35 Å. Cd is bonded to six equivalent Np and six equivalent Cd atoms to form CdNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra that share corners with eighteen equivalent CdNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent CdNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra, edges with twelve equivalent NpNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra, faces with eight equivalent CdNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent NpNp6Cd6 cuboctahedra. There are four shorter (2.85 Å) and two longer (2.86 Å) Cd–Cd bond lengths.
