Title: Materials Data on Li3Gd by Materials Project

Abstract

Li3Gd crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Li is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Li and four equivalent Gd atoms. There are two shorter (2.88 Å) and four longer (3.02 Å) Li–Li bond lengths. There are two shorter (3.22 Å) and two longer (3.24 Å) Li–Gd bond lengths. Gd is bonded to twelve equivalent Li atoms to form a mixture of corner and face-sharing GdLi12 cuboctahedra.
