Materials Data on TlH2NCl2 by Materials Project
Abstract
TlCl2NH2 is trigonal omega-derived structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1/a space group. The structure is three-dimensional and consists of eight ammonia molecules and one TlCl2 framework. In the TlCl2 framework, Tl3+ is bonded to six equivalent Cl1- atoms to form edge-sharing TlCl6 octahedra. There are a spread of Tl–Cl bond distances ranging from 3.16–3.25 Å. Cl1- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Tl3+ atoms.
