Materials Data on ScZnHg2 by Materials Project
Abstract
ScHg2Zn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two ScHg2Zn ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Sc is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Hg atoms. Both Sc–Hg bond lengths are 2.87 Å. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to one Sc and one Zn atom. The Hg–Zn bond length is 2.72 Å. Zn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Hg atoms.
