Materials Data on In2Te3 by Materials Project
Abstract
In2Te3 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Imm2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. In3+ is bonded to four Te2- atoms to form corner-sharing InTe4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of In–Te bond distances ranging from 2.76–2.89 Å. There are two inequivalent Te2- sites. In the first Te2- site, Te2- is bonded in a trigonal non-coplanar geometry to three equivalent In3+ atoms. In the second Te2- site, Te2- is bonded in a water-like geometry to two equivalent In3+ atoms.
