Abstract

Y2ZnGa crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Y2ZnGa ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Y is bonded in a linear geometry to one Zn and one Ga atom. The Y–Zn bond length is 3.04 Å. The Y–Ga bond length is 2.84 Å. Zn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Y atoms. Ga is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Y atoms.
