Abstract

V2WCr crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two V2WCr ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. V is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to one W and one Cr atom. The V–W bond length is 2.18 Å. The V–Cr bond length is 2.85 Å. W is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent V atoms. Cr is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent V atoms.
