Title: Materials Data on LuMg3 by Materials Project

Abstract

Mg3Lu is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg is bonded to eight equivalent Mg and four equivalent Lu atoms to form MgLu4Mg8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent MgLu4Mg8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent LuMg12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent MgLu4Mg8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent LuMg12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent MgLu4Mg8 cuboctahedra. All Mg–Mg bond lengths are 3.26 Å. All Mg–Lu bond lengths are 3.26 Å. Lu is bonded to twelve equivalent Mg atoms to form LuMg12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent LuMg12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent MgLu4Mg8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent LuMg12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent MgLu4Mg8 cuboctahedra.
