Materials Data on TbInPt2 by Materials Project
Abstract
TbPt2In crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tb3+ is bonded in a distorted hexagonal planar geometry to six equivalent Pt2- atoms. All Tb–Pt bond lengths are 2.87 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Tb3+, one Pt2-, and four equivalent In1+ atoms. The Pt–Pt bond length is 2.67 Å. There are one shorter (2.86 Å) and three longer (3.07 Å) Pt–In bond lengths. In1+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Pt2- atoms.
