Title: Materials Data on SmO3 by Materials Project

Abstract

SmO3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sm is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine equivalent O atoms. There are three shorter (2.37 Å) and six longer (2.47 Å) Sm–O bond lengths. O is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to three equivalent Sm atoms.
