Materials Data on GdZnIn by Materials Project
Abstract
GdZnIn is hexagonal omega structure-derived structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Gd is bonded to six equivalent Zn and six equivalent In atoms to form a mixture of face and edge-sharing GdZn6In6 cuboctahedra. All Gd–Zn bond lengths are 3.28 Å. All Gd–In bond lengths are 3.28 Å. Zn is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Gd and three equivalent In atoms. All Zn–In bond lengths are 2.73 Å. In is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Gd and three equivalent Zn atoms.
