Title: Materials Data on NiPRh by Materials Project

Abstract

RhNiP is Matlockite structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Rh is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ni and five equivalent P atoms. All Rh–Ni bond lengths are 2.79 Å. There are one shorter (2.28 Å) and four longer (2.58 Å) Rh–P bond lengths. Ni is bonded to four equivalent Rh and four equivalent P atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and face-sharing NiP4Rh4 cuboctahedra. All Ni–P bond lengths are 2.28 Å. P is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Rh and four equivalent Ni atoms.
