Materials Data on FeSnRh2 by Materials Project
Abstract
Rh2FeSn is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Fe is bonded to eight equivalent Rh and four equivalent Sn atoms to form distorted FeSn4Rh8 cuboctahedra that share corners with four equivalent FeSn4Rh8 cuboctahedra, corners with eight equivalent SnFe4Rh8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent FeSn4Rh8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent FeSn4Rh8 cuboctahedra, and faces with six equivalent SnFe4Rh8 cuboctahedra. All Fe–Rh bond lengths are 2.73 Å. All Fe–Sn bond lengths are 2.94 Å. Rh is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Fe and four equivalent Sn atoms. All Rh–Sn bond lengths are 2.73 Å. Sn is bonded to four equivalent Fe and eight equivalent Rh atoms to form distorted SnFe4Rh8 cuboctahedra that share corners with four equivalent SnFe4Rh8 cuboctahedra, corners with eight equivalent FeSn4Rh8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent SnFe4Rh8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent SnFe4Rh8 cuboctahedra, and faces with six equivalent FeSn4Rh8 cuboctahedra.
