Materials Data on Hf2Zn by Materials Project
Abstract
Hf2Zn crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two Hf2Zn sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Hf is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Zn atoms. All Hf–Zn bond lengths are 2.92 Å. Zn is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Hf atoms.
