Title: Materials Data on Ge by Materials Project

Abstract

Ge is Magnesium structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ge is bonded to twelve equivalent Ge atoms to form a mixture of corner, edge, and face-sharing GeGe12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (2.99 Å) and six longer (3.04 Å) Ge–Ge bond lengths.
