Materials Data on TlNiO3 by Materials Project
Abstract
TlNiO3 is Orthorhombic Perovskite-like structured and crystallizes in the trigonal R3c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ni3+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form corner-sharing NiO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 30°. There is three shorter (1.95 Å) and three longer (1.97 Å) Ni–O bond length. Tl3+ is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to six equivalent O2- atoms. There are three shorter (2.20 Å) and three longer (2.52 Å) Tl–O bond lengths. O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Ni3+ and two equivalent Tl3+ atoms.
