Title: Materials Data on V5Te4 by Materials Project

Abstract

V5Te4 is Titanium telluride structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent V sites. In the first V site, V is bonded to eight equivalent V and four equivalent Te atoms to form face-sharing VV8Te4 cuboctahedra. All V–V bond lengths are 2.67 Å. All V–Te bond lengths are 2.77 Å. In the second V site, V is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four V and five equivalent Te atoms. Both V–V bond lengths are 2.52 Å. There are a spread of V–Te bond distances ranging from 2.78–2.89 Å. Te is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six V atoms.
