Title: Materials Data on Cu by Materials Project

Abstract

Cu is Magnesium structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cu is bonded to twelve equivalent Cu atoms to form a mixture of face, edge, and corner-sharing CuCu12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (2.55 Å) and six longer (2.56 Å) Cu–Cu bond lengths.
