Title: Materials Data on SmMn3 by Materials Project

Abstract

SmMn3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sm is bonded to twelve equivalent Mn atoms to form a mixture of corner and face-sharing SmMn12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (3.02 Å) and six longer (3.03 Å) Sm–Mn bond lengths. Mn is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Sm and six equivalent Mn atoms. There are two shorter (2.65 Å) and four longer (2.77 Å) Mn–Mn bond lengths.
