Title: Materials Data on Tl3Br by Materials Project

Abstract

(Tl)2TlBr is alpha Niobium phosphide-like structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two Tl sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction and two TlBr sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. In each Tl sheet, Tl is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Tl atoms. All Tl–Tl bond lengths are 3.37 Å. In each TlBr sheet, Tl is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Br atoms. All Tl–Br bond lengths are 3.37 Å. Br is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Tl atoms.
