Materials Data on La3Ag by Materials Project
Abstract
La3Ag crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ag atoms. There are two shorter (3.35 Å) and two longer (3.63 Å) La–Ag bond lengths. Ag is bonded to twelve equivalent La atoms to form a mixture of corner and face-sharing AgLa12 cuboctahedra.
