Title: Materials Data on LuIn3 by Materials Project

Abstract

LuIn3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Lu is bonded to twelve equivalent In atoms to form LuIn12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent LuIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent InLu4In8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent LuIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent InLu4In8 cuboctahedra. All Lu–In bond lengths are 3.26 Å. In is bonded to four equivalent Lu and eight equivalent In atoms to form distorted InLu4In8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent InLu4In8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent LuIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent InLu4In8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent LuIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent InLu4In8 cuboctahedra. All In–In bond lengths are 3.26 Å.
